A new addiction is born and every month I am on the road to discover and log new geocache(s). Of course I don’t do this alone and I take you with me on my adventures. Geocaching is for me an extra piece of adventure in discovering new places. We went on a geocaching adventure in Breda in June, are you watching with me?

The best/funniest geocache (s)
The marble jar
best one was really the marble jar. We were in Breda, in the district of Haagse Beemden. We were looking for a geocache where you could play a game of marbling as a reward. Because we are still quite new with geocaching, it was really a quest for us. Once we found the geocache, we realized that we were thinking too hard. Sometimes it’s easier than you think.
But well … as a reward we played a game of marbles. Anika won, of course. It is not about winning, but about the game anyway;).
Crawl through a tunnel
This is what I mean by adventure! In Prinsenbeek we were looking for a geocache. We roamed through a little park and started to wonder where the geocache would be. After a while we saw that the geocache was not so easy. I took off my shoes and crawl into the tunnel. Left and right, there were spiders and an ant here and now.
Later under the dirt but it was certainly worth it. See my smile as proof 🙂
The library
You may already know this from my previous blog. This was my first geocache ever. When I found the geocache, I could exchange a book. Of course I did thisn and that was fun. Read more about my first geocache experience, I wrote an extensive blog in dutch.
Leave your cell phone behind in the geocache
One that we later found out that we could leave our old mobile phone. When we arrived in the neighborhood and went looking for the geocache we found out that we had to enter someone’s garden. We found this a little bit awkward in the beginning. Normally you don’t do this. When we looked a bit further, we saw a geocaching stiker on the window of the house. From that moment on, the awkward feeling was completely gone. We received a number of free snails on the geocache.
The least fun geocache
Because it was so new for us, we did not really have a lesser fun geocache. Everything we have logged, we liked :).
The hardest geocache
That was our first. Our GPS systems on the phone do not seem to work well and deviate a bit. We have been looking for at least one hour in the forest while the geocache was really easy hide. This was in fact in the forest (Liesbos) of Prinsenbeek. Very nice place to go hiking.
The easiest geocache
That was one in a tree stump. We stopped the car, walked to the tree stump and we immediately found the geocache. It lay open and exposed in sight. I saw a large stone lying, which seemed to be of it’s place. I put the geocache back under the stone because it was obvious that it belonged under the stone.
More geocache experience
Yeah…as the optimistic as we are, we decided to do a multicache. Unfortunately for these two novices it was a little too difficult. We have to learn how to read the GPS coordinates. Of course, that will be oke. After this failed multicache we decided to continue with the traditional caches.
Geocaching in June
It was a nice first month. Both want more. Sounds like upcoming adiction. We are already planning our next adventure. We are still pretty new, but the adventure is really fun.
Which nice geocache did you find last month? Do you want to know the geocache number, ask this in a comment and you will get the answer.
